About This Policy
This policy explains cookies and similar browser storage on the ArrowForce Locksmith Chesham website, what the Accept and Decline buttons do, and how you can manage your choices. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy.
If you have a question, call 01494 611 252, use our contact form, or write to ArrowForce Locksmith Chesham, 115B High St, Chesham HP5 1DE. This is a correspondence address only; no customer visits.
What Cookies And Similar Storage Do
A cookie is a small piece of information a website or service can save in your browser. Some cookies last only for a browser session; others remain for a stated period or until you remove them. Cookies can help a service work, keep it secure, remember a preference or measure how it is used.
Local storage is another way a website can remember information on your device. It is not automatically sent with every web request in the same way as a cookie, but similar privacy rules can apply. This website uses local storage to remember the choice you make in its cookie banner.
“First party” usually means storage associated with the site you are visiting. “Third party” refers to other providers whose services are included on a page, such as an embedded form or map.
Accepting Or Declining
Our banner gives you an Accept button and a Decline button. Both are available without opening a settings panel. Choosing either records your preference and dismisses the notice.
This version of the website does not include separate optional analytics or advertising scripts. Accept therefore does not currently switch on an extra tracking tool, and Decline records that you do not accept optional cookies added by this site.
The supplied Jotform and Google Map load independently of these buttons and remain available with either choice. The banner is not a control for all storage or processing performed inside those external services. Their operation is explained below.
You can reopen the banner using Cookie Settings in the footer of any page and choose again. Your latest choice replaces the earlier one on that browser. A choice made on one device does not automatically apply on another.
The Preference We Store
| Item | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|
arrowforce_cookie_choice_v1Local storage on this site | Remembers Accept or Decline and the date of the choice. It contains no name, telephone number or form message. | The website stops relying on the choice after 180 days and shows the banner again. |
Local storage does not necessarily delete itself when that period ends. An expired entry may remain in the browser until it is replaced by a new choice or you clear the site’s stored data. The website checks the saved date before deciding whether to show the banner.
If browser storage is unavailable or blocked, the website can still display its pages, but the notice may return on another page or visit. Changing or clearing the preference does not delete an enquiry you have already submitted.
External Services On The Website
Jotform Enquiry Form
The form on Home, About, Services, Contact and Quote is loaded from Jotform. Your browser connects to that provider when the form loads, before you choose whether to send an enquiry. Jotform and any features enabled in its form account may use cookies, browser storage or security checks to operate the service.
The exact storage can vary with provider changes, account configuration, security features and browser settings. We do not present a fixed list of third-party cookie names or expiry times as though it were guaranteed. See the Jotform Privacy Policy for the provider’s explanation. If you prefer, you can contact ArrowForce by telephone instead.
Google Maps
The Contact page includes a Google Map. It connects to Google when the browser loads the map; on some devices this happens as you scroll towards it. Google may receive technical information and access or set storage according to its own service, your account state and your browser controls.
Read Google’s Information About Cookies and Google’s Privacy Policy. The business address is also shown as text on the Contact page, so it can be read without interacting with the map.
Website Delivery
The site uses locally included images and styles, and fonts already available on your device. It does not request an external font library. Hosting and network providers may process connection and security information to deliver the pages. That technical processing is not necessarily a cookie and is also addressed in our Privacy Policy.
Using Your Browser Controls
Your browser may let you view or remove cookies, clear local storage, block third-party cookies or limit site tracking. The available controls vary between browsers and devices. Look under settings labelled Privacy, Site Data, Cookies or Tracking Protection.
Blocking or deleting storage can affect an embedded form, verification step or map. It may also remove saved preferences on other sites. Clearing this site’s data will cause our cookie notice to appear again.
If an external service does not work with your preferred settings, you can still use the telephone number shown throughout the website. The main written information and our contact address do not depend on accepting optional cookies.
Changes To This Policy
If optional tools are added in future, their purpose and the way they use storage will need to be explained and the consent controls updated where required. Continuing to browse is not treated as clicking Accept.
External providers can change their own storage and processing. We may revise this notice to reflect relevant changes to the website. Check the date at the top of the page for this version and use the contact details above if you have a question about your choices.
